So... I go to Superdrug to buy a new foundation and heard a little but about the Revlon foundations but alas it Revlon had a 3 for 2 offer on so I of course HAD to then buy three items, and I thought I would share my thoughts with you lovelies.
First up the foundation.
I opted for the 24 hour Colourstay Foundation 1)because it said 24 hour stay and what gal can argue with those numbers and 2) they had this one foundation for dry skin AND another one for combination-oily skin which I haven't seen before.
I have to say I was dubious about the 24hour thing but my gosh! This bugger just does not shift!! It's fab... I am up very early for work as I travel and this does my make my day very long and I don't have time to re-makeup during the day. But when I get home, I am still fully intact, with 0 shine which I just cannot believe!!
I was scared at first by this foundation seems really thick, but it is so easy to blend which surprised me and there's nothing better than a happy surprise! I would definitely use a good buffing brush instead of a sponge with this one.
This is a brilliant foundation for oily skin, the only downsides being a little extra work needs to go in to removing your face, as well as this comes without a pump so you have to pour it on to the back of your hand which is always a scary game first thing in the morning before you've had the required amount of caffeine to function like an actual human.
Up next is the concealer...
This isn't really anything to write home about, just your average run of the mill concealer, blends easily, though can be a little oily if used to liberally. Does do a good job of brightening up dull under eyes on greyer winter days.
another plus is that my foundation is just a tad to dark and the lighter shade of this concealer does tone that down quite well.
and last but not least
The Bobbi Brown shim... SORRY I mean the Revlon highlighting pallet
If you don't want to splash the cash on Bobbi Brown then this is a definite must have. For the tiny price tag of £8 the packaging is beautiful, the quality and colour payoff is just a perfect balance!
Don't be scared of how glittery this looks in the pallet, it's just a lovely shimmer on the cheek bones.
I'm a sucker for a 2 in 1 product especially for the mornings. In the pallet colour Rose the blush colour is really pretty and never over the top.
Beautiful.
What's your fave Revlon products? Is there a Revlon product you think I HAVE to own?
